The request board¶
The request board is a list organized in columns, a read-only view of the progress of everything asked of Husvord. It refreshes by itself every few seconds — the ones who move items between columns are Husvord's own team, as the work moves forward.
Ask and request¶
They are two different things, although related:
- An ask is what you wrote in the new request form, before Husvord decides how to handle it. An ask shows the chosen priority and, if it is waiting for something else before moving on, the reason it is blocked.
- A request is the ask after Husvord has organized it into work steps (for example: fix, then verification, then delivery). A request shows the progress of its steps (how many have already been verified) and who on the team is taking care of it at the moment.
Every ask can become a request; not every item on the board that looks "stuck" is a problem — it may just be waiting for its turn.
The columns¶
- Ask — not yet a request in progress; it is waiting for Husvord's triage.
- In progress — it is already a request and someone on the team is working on one of its steps now.
- In verification — the current step is being checked before moving on.
- Waiting for you — a decision of yours is needed to continue (see Decision cards).
- Done — finished successfully.
- Stopped — it was interrupted before finishing (see the actions below).
Back to the queue and close¶
These two actions only show up when you open a request that is in the Stopped column:
- Back to the queue — puts the request back to be resumed the next time there is room on the team.
- Close — closes the request for good. Before confirming, the screen asks if you are sure, warning that it will not run again after that.
Just like the new request form, both actions ask for your approval password — unless your 12-hour approval session is still valid (see Decision cards).
