Cards: when Husvord is waiting for a decision from you

Sometimes Husvord's team reaches a point where a decision has to be yours — for example, choosing between two possible ways of moving on. At that moment a decision card is opened and the character in charge is visibly waiting for you.

You can open the cards panel in three ways: clicking the cards counter (next to your character), clicking a character that is showing the waiting notice, or clicking an item marked "waiting for you" in the team list.

How to decide

Each card shows the available options as buttons, and each button brings:

  • what the option means;
  • the consequence of choosing it;
  • the cost, when there is one;
  • the conditions for choosing it.

When Husvord has a recommendation, it comes marked as "recommended", together with the why.

The «other» option

When none of the ready-made options fits, there is the other option. Choosing it shows a required text field for you to describe what you want — the answer is only accepted after this text is filled in. A decision recorded as "other" is forwarded to Husvord's coordination to assess.

The card queue

When there is more than one card waiting for you, the panel shows your position in the queue (for example, "2 of 5") and a button to go to the next one. After you answer a card, the next one shows up by itself, without opening the panel again — until there is none left.

The approval password

Answering a card, opening a new request and using the back to the queue / close actions all ask for the same approval password.

In practice, it works like this:

  • When you type the password correctly for the first time, Husvord opens a 12-hour approval session on this screen: during that time, the next decisions do not ask for the password again.
  • While this session is active, a notice on the screen shows until what time it is valid, with a button to end it early, if you prefer to type the password for each decision again.
  • If the password is typed wrong a few times in a row, the screen blocks new attempts for a few minutes.
  • If someone already answered the same card before you (or if it changed since you opened it), the screen warns you and nothing is changed — just reopen the card to see the latest version.
